Sunbittern

Sunbittern is the codename for PremierOne version 6. In parallel with back-end supporting cloud based, real-time collaboration and analytics, all the clients in the suite get a refresh from the ground up. It"s a tremendous opportunity for me to reflect on what we have been doing for the last 6 years and see where we can make more than evolutionary changes.

Process

• Digest and distill a capability matrix of 60+ personas that represent Motorola"s public safety customers.
• Connect dots from users/roles to the Motorola Smart Public Safety Solutions capabilities, and come up with 3 generalized application frameworks that incarnate PremierOne app suite, currently consisting of 7 products and 3 utility tools.
• With system thinking, abstract commonalities in workflows, information architecture, UI components, motion design and branding across apps, platforms and form factors.
• Engage stakeholders, seek buy-in and validate designs with rapid multivariate prototyping and product test-drives.
