AdminDesktop is envisioned as the single touch point for PACS administrators and GE Service and Install engineers to reach for any of the typical system setup, configuration and ongoing administrative activities, including health monitoring. As the designer for AdminDesktop Autoserve capability, I"ve been accomplishing the following design goals, which have had positive impact on the business division"s software development life "cycle":
- Elicit, discover and balance business/user/engineering requirements for each product release by iterative, prototype driven design
- Design and validate detailed user interface workflows for each user story through artifacts with various fidelities
- Uncover and mitigate UI design risks by formative/guerrilla usability testings
- Drive UX consistency and reducing duplicated UI development efforts by utilizing the Validation and Verification process, and progressively establishing style guides that target specific enterprise imaging business domains and provide periodic feedback to the Design System for GE Healthcare (part of Predix)
- Conceive, articulate and build consensus for long-term UX visions using a top down design approach
